The Australia and Indonesia Health Security Partnership (AIHSP), through the Vaccine Access and Health Security Initiatives (VAHSI) program, entrusted ID COMM to execute a vaccine access communication program, health protocols, and COVID-19 prevention, which took place from October 2021 to September 2022, focusing on the regions of Central Java, Yogyakarta, Bali, and South Sulawesi.
The AIHSP carried out this program through various communication approaches, such as analyzing local and national media content to map the COVID-19 agenda, developing the news coverage database system, formulating accurate facts and narratives, and expanding publications through print, online, and electronic media. These efforts positively impacted the vaccination coverage among vulnerable groups, such as people with disabilities and older people.
ID COMM’s strategies effectively applied the penta helix stakeholder principle, which created the Inclusive Vaccination Program implemented in Maros Regency, Pinrang Regency, Enrekang Regency, Bone Regency, and Gowa Regency was adopted by the Provincial Health Office and disseminated to all District/City Health Offices in South Sulawesi.
For its achievements, the “Indonesia PR of The Year 2023” award ceremony held by MIX Magazine awarded ID COMM the PR Agency of the Year 2023 award with an excellent predicate through a professional judging process.
