The Challenge

Pesta Pendidikan is a unity of various educational activities supported by more than hundred communities and organizations. Sponsored by the Ministry of Education and Culture, it was initiated to be a new platform that unifies initiatives and involvement of the best practitioners and actors in the educational sector. Held during the whole month of May 2016, the movement is taking the momentum of National Education Day in an entire month. Maintaining public attention through various communication channels and across multiple education issues is the main challenge that can represent ‘Semua Murid, Semua Guru’ theme. O

Our Approach

ID COMM served as the communication strategist and vocal point for the project’s communication. Our work includes the development and distribution of communication materials and media invitation, outreach to the media, building and securing partnerships with targeted media, as well as responsible in responding to media queries, interviews, and promotion of Pesta Pendidikan and its activities at any media programs. It includes radio talk shows, radio interviews, exclusive TV programs, live reports, social media promotion, and outreach to related government bodies, such as the Ministry of Education and Culture and the Presidential Office, to pursue support for the movement. ID COMM was also responsible for assisting in developing message content, structure, and design of communication materials.

The Result

ID COMM successfully secured over twenty media partnerships for a month-long period of activities and execute multiple media engagements, which resulted in a robust publication about Pesta Pendidikan from print media, online media, radio, and TV since the project was started. As part of the Pesta Pendidikan core team, the client awarded ID COMM since we were able to provide consultation, accompaniment, outlook, close coordination, and excellent activities implementation.
